remember dainties by a nile of
dazzled sun-cooked pigskin flutes

nothing remains of these remains
biceps travel lighter by ghost

might forgives & gravity wields
every bland fortune’s grinwipe

Adjacent Amateurs

Along the S of the galaxy’s
curve,  excitement as amourous
as a stickleback fish’s

to red.   Focus bends the
glass-magnified light into my
simian eye.  Gods & heroes tattoo

the dome with antique comic book
constellations.  Sun & planet hurtle
down a lone vertice – one going

around.  Those first nanoseconds,
our shared distance impossibly
close.  Cosmology’s beguiling.

But, enough about me:
how’ve you been since then?
